FAQ

How do I enrol?

That part is easy. Either email Jared at jared@centrecourttennis.com.au or Call/text Jared on

0404 457 088 to arrange a lesson time.

Which lesson is most suitable to me…… private or group?

Private lessons are for faster development and the more serious player. Group helps people in a fun environment and is easier on the family budget. We encourage enrolling in both, if possible, to continue the fun element but also add in the time needed for the coach to maximise technical improvement.

Are tennis balls, court hire and tennis racquets included in the coaching price?

Yes. We recommend buying a racquet through us when the time is right. In the meantime we have plenty of loan racquets free of charge.

Can I get a refund if I miss a lesson?

No. We have make up days available during the school term and over the school holidays. We have held that spot for you and our costs are the same whether you attend or not. Coaches and court hire must be paid by us regardless.

Are family discounts available?

Yes. 10% discounts are available if you enrol more than one child. Discounts only apply for term payments made in full. Not available for private lessons.

What if I cannot make my lesson?

Make up classes are available, please contact Jared on 0404 457 088 or jared@centrecourttennis.com.au

Can I join during the term or do I have to wait for next term?

Yes. A pro rata rate will be worked out depending on the number of weeks missed.

How long does the term go for?

Our coaching term mirrors the NSW school system (9-11 weeks)

What do I do if it is raining?

Please check our Facebook page, link on the webpage, for any weather updates. Additionally you can call 0404 457 088 for Kearns, Oran Park & Camden and 0411 330 107 for Coleman Park Georges Hall.

What age can my child start at your tennis school?

At Centre Court Tennis we start children in our Hot Shots programs from 4 years of age. Please talk to Jared on 0404 457 088 if you want lessons before that age.

What happens if I am sick or have to miss my lesson?

We are happy to make up your lesson as long as we get 24 hours notice. Group lessons can be made up easily by contacting Ian or Jared. Private lessons need to be worked out between players and their coach.

How do I re-enrol?

We coach by NSW school terms that normally run for 9-11 weeks. If we don’t hear from you then we assume you will be attending and automatically re-enrol you for the next term.

How can I pay for my lessons?

We provide many different payment options for your convenience.

  • Cash – direct to your coach with players full name, time and coaches name.
  • Cheque – made out to Centre Court Tennis.
  • Direct Deposit BSB: 81 42 82, ACC NO:1078 3019

Are lessons still on if it’s a public holiday?

No.

What if it’s really hot?

We cancel from 38 degrees but please talk to your coach as there can be extenuating circumstances. We do have a duty of care.

How do I get into competition?

Centre Court Tennis run Match play competitions on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings for our junior comp. Please talk to Ian or Jared for more information.

At Camden Tennis Club we run competitions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Please contact Rod on 0413 405 918 for more information.

Do I need to purchase a racquet before I commence lessons?

No. We have racquets you can borrow until you decide on a purchase. New enrolments receive a FREE racquet*. Please see Jared or Ian when deciding on a purchase as they have extensive knowledge and can size you up perfectly.

* Term fee must be paid before FREE racquet received.

How many students are in your group lessons?

We work on a max of 4 - 8 players per coach depending on the lesson and age. Players improve the quickest in a private lesson due to the coach being able to concentrate solely on 1 player. Please talk to Ian or Jared if you want to move to a private lesson from a group.

Does my child require any special footwear/clothing to attend lessons?

All children (under 12) receive a FREE Hot Shots T shirt with their group lessons enrolment (must register with TEnnis Australia). Wearing the T shirt is advisable to garner a sense of togetherness and teamwork. Running shoes, a hat, sunscreen and a water bottle are all advisable.
